Gun Dealer Management Software
It is now more important than ever that accurate
records and paperwork are produced to satisfy the
various rules and regulations that apply to the gun
trade. The Gun Register was produced to make
it simple for you to maintain these records and to
produce the required paperwork.The
Gun Register was written to the specifications and requirements of actual
Registered Firearms Dealers and has been modified and updated to conform to
current needs. The Gun Register
is the original software program, accepted by firearms officers nationwide.

Gun Register

Simple friendly menu system using buttons - No confusing
drop down menus and choices.
Separate Gun
Acquisition and Disposal screens - Fully selectable choices -
Transactions can be completed in seconds. Assign Gun Status e.g. New -
Second-hand - Storage - Repair etc.
Preview or
Print Sales and Repair Receipts and Invoices - Present a professional image
to your customers.
Police
Notification Letters -
When you acquire or dispose of a gun the program will print the required
notifications in an approved format with all the necessary information to
satisfy the regulations. Where applicable these may be handed to the Seller or
the Customer as part of your service.
Add a Sound Moderator if required, simply
tick the box and add the cost to the gun.
Contact
Database - Stores your Gun Customer and Supplier details - Enter them either
in this screen or in the Transaction Acquisition or
Disposal screens. Once entered the full details will
be available as required, no need to ever enter them
again.
Repairs -
Guns acquired for repair can be entered and coded as such in order to appear in
the Repair Screen as required. Repair Receipts and Invoice may be printed from
here. The Sub-Contractors file holds the details of the Sub Contractors
that you use, they can be selected as required.
If you need to Sub-Contract some of the repairs, the Sub-Contractor may
be selected and the subsequent charges listed to provide a
total repair cost.
Repaired Guns can be separately invoiced including details of the repairs.
Quick Check -
Find the details of any gun within seconds, search by Name, Serial No or Unique
Stock No.
When searching by Name, the number of guns that you
have in stock that have been purchased from the
selected customer, and the details of each will be
displayed.
Storage -
Storage charges although small can mount up over a period of time, The Gun
Register can display the current charge at any time to the nearest day, and
accept full or part payments.
The Storage screen also displays the value of the
gun it entered when acquired.
Ammunition -
The Gun Register also keeps track of your Ammunition Purchases and Sales -
Check your stock at any time.
Ammunition Purchased - Enter ammunition each
time you receive a delivery.
Ammunition Sales - Enter details of Customer and
the ammunition purchased,
and create an invoice. Program now accepts multiple
item ammunition purchases.
Ammunition - Enter Description of Ammunition,
you only need to do this once as the type of
ammunition can then be selected when sold.
Firearms Register Search by Serial No or Name
- Display Last Transaction
Search by Serial No. - Select Serial No and
the program will display the history of that gun,
there may be one or more transactions involving both
Acquisitions and Disposals which of course may
involve Repairs.
Search
by Name -
Select Customer Name and the program will display
the history of that gun, there may be one or more
transactions involving both Acquisitions and
Disposal. Select Serial No. and the program will display the
last Acquisition and Disposal that referenced the
selected gun.
Reports - The
Gun Register Reports Menu features another twelve reports including your
Firearms Register, Audit Report, All Transactions, Gun Purchases, Gun Sales,
Ammunition Stock levels, Purchases and Sales, Guns Acquired and Disposed, Black
Powder Sales, Main Stock List, Deferred Police Advice Letters, Storage Report,
Individual Storage Invoice, Police Disposal Report by Area, Police Acquisition
Report by Area.
Second Hand
VAT Margin Scheme -
No more hassle trying to work out what your VAT liability on second hand sales
is, simply print out a report for the required VAT quarter.
Employees
- Maintain employee records and passwords in order to
implement security, each Acquisition or Disposal transaction
requires employee login.
HTML Web Pages
- Create or Update your own web page - Simply by selecting the guns you wish
to display
The Gun Register will create a new or updated web page at the touch of a
button.
This function requires you to have a web page designed to
accept a sub-page containing the content.
HTML Web Images - Upload Images to Web Space.
The Guns For Sale web page that you have created can
be uploaded and integrated as part of the users existing web site page.
This feature does require that the users website be modified
to accept the Guns for Sale page. (See alternative below)
The Guns for Sale page may be scrolled up and down as
required, the height of each entry will be dictated by the size of each image.

Categories - Create Product Categories for Guns and
Accessories.
Display all products in selected Category.
Product Suppliers
- Enter Supplier details for all products.
Products
- Enter details of Accessory products, excluding Guns and
Ammunition. (Guns are automatically entered when Acquired, Ammunition is
dealt with elsewhere)
Sales Order Processing
- Guns and Accessory items i.e. Clothing, Footwear, Scopes
etc. may be entered here to produce a Sales Invoice, (Guns
must be Disposed of afterwards through the Gun Register Disposal Screen.
Stock Labels and/or Till receipts may be printed from this
screen using a Dymo Label Printer and/or an Epson Receipt
Printer.
Backup -
Data file may be backed up from this screen - Backups can be
made to another drive but not to a CD or DVD however this
function will backup to a Pen or Clip drive or an external
Hard Drive.
The screen also enables you to change the location of the
Data File, essential if you have a network.
Your Own eCommerce Website
Your Own Website - As an alternative to the Integrated
web page as described above you may prefer to have your own
website for a small monthly subscription.
Using this website you will be able to store up to 2,000
different items, you can upload your photo's and
descriptions at any time day or night, you do not need to
call in anyone else to do it, as soon as an item is sold you
can mark it sold or remove it from the website in just a few
seconds.
You may use this website to display your Guns or Accessories
and if you wish, to enable the On-Line Ordering function so
that your customers can place a Secure Order which the
website will email to you.

View Products and click the Silver Pigeon. Scroll
down and you will see that it is possible to format the text
and include many pictures.
Some of
my Customers have used The Gun Register
for over six years, shouldn't you be using it too?
The Gun Register
will run on most modern Windows based computers,
networked around the office or on a stand-alone machine.
Your staff will welcome the simple “Select and
Click” menu system, the built in messages if an entry is missed or a mistake
is made when a number of transactions are to be processed amidst the activity
and interruptions in a normal office.
You will feel comfortable that only more trusted
staff may be allowed access to some sensitive screens and reports. Very
sensitive information can be viewed only by yourself and your authorised
employees. You choose the settings for all employees and screens, if you wish.
The Gun Register
entry screens are arranged to suit daily tasks often
performed by different staff or even departments so it is not essential that all
staff need to be trained to operate all of the system, affording great savings
in training costs and reducing the worries arising from staff turnover.
We would advise that training should be provided at
the member of staff’s own workplace, with significant cost savings and where the
staff do not feel threatened by the introduction of “New Technology” but
welcome it.
The

Please Note:
Unlike some other products The Gun Register does not
require you to purchase any other software or
subscribe to a website in order
to run the program.

web applications to do your computing is that you lose
control, Do your own computing on your own computer. If you
use somebody else’s web server, you’re defenceless. You’re
putty in the hands of whoever developed that software. |
